ZOOZ evolves into Safari Niagara
ZOOZ is a thing of the past, and for one simple reason. It’s time to move forward.
The family-owned and operated facility will open this May with a new identity. The new name, Safari Niagara, is an intended step forward in attracting more visitors to the 100-acre zoo and nature park while at the same time positioning it for the exciting road ahead.

Those who frequented the facility for the past eight years have come to know it as a family-friendly place where kids of all ages can learn about animals, nature and the environment. Visitors from near and far have taken advantage of the park as a place to spend quality time with their loved ones while engaging in health-promoting, interactive activities such as walking the three-kilometre path, engaging in catch-and-release fishing, paddle boating, and using the splash pad and playground to their hearts’ content. Thousands also have enjoyed concerts in the grass-seating amphitheatre and many community groups have used the park as the backdrop for their annual fundraisers.

Upgrades to the park and its animal enclosures are ongoing, however, none of the main elements have changed. Only the name is different in preparation for new things to come, as well as to help more people discover the amazing destination. Somehow, despite the number of Niagara residents who love ZOOZ and who visit regularly, it has managed to be one of the region’s best kept secrets. The owners are hoping a more distinct title will capture a broader market.
And that’s it. There are no gimmicks. The park isn’t bankrupt. It is not under new ownership. It just has a new flag to fly.
Fans of ZOOZ are invited to wave the Safari Niagara flag and help keep the fantastic earthen ark of animals afloat on its journey to a new world of opportunities.
